This will satisfy the needs of a 416,000 gpy (1.57 million lpy) biodiesel production plant based on 8 hours per day for 5 business day weeks
If run continuously for 24 hours a day 7 days a week, it will process over 2.18 million gallons (8.2 million liters) per year
- Recommended cleaning cycle: ten minutes every 250 gallons processed
- Two or more PC-5's can be operated in parallel to increase separation throughput capacity
- Power requirements: 2 HP motor needs 208-240VAC Single Phase (50/60 Hertz) 20 Amp circuit, 7.5 Amps continuous load

We chose heavy duty, long lasting parts to keep the centrifuge low maintenance and durable, and carefully chose design aspects to keep the cost down:
- Explosion Proof Class 1 Division 2 electric motor running at 3450 RPM
- Lower comparable speeds of rotation for the centrifuge reduce wear, yet achieve over 1000 times gravity of separation force with an incredible 30 seconds of fluid residence time. That is comparable to centrifuges that spin faster, but their residence time is much lower, they experience faster wear, and require higher-tolerance (more expensive) parts
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor speed controller
- Belt drive for quietness, longevity and simplicity
- High speed, heavy duty bearings
- Mechanical Ceramic seals for long life and durability
- Incoming pressure and temperature readouts on front panel
- Flow meter specifically made and calibrated for biodiesel flow
- Manual override capability for valve control
- High pressure pneumatic valve system for high flow rates, reliability and longevity
