Modular Biodiesel Plant
Features:
- The production facility would consist of a Process Module
(PM) and a separate Support and Control Module (SCM) which are
built from an open flat rack
shipping container
- 212 gallons (800 liters) continuous batch of biodiesel per
hour of operation. 24 x 7 x 360 day operation could
theoretically produce 1.8 MMgpy (6.8 MMlpy) of biodiesel
- Semi-automatic operation by an operation engineer. The
system is controlled by PLC with operator inputs for start and
stop. This provides a high level of safety with human logic
checking and the PLC providing the information the operator
needs.
- The process is designed to be closed loop
- The PM is designed for Class 1 Division 2 in mind and any
parts in contact with methanol are rated for Class 1 Division 1.
The SCM would be placed outside of this Class 1 Division 2 zone.
- If emergency stops are activated, the entire plant is shut
down and all fluid lines with valves are closed.
- The transesterification reactor dehydrates and reacts
the vegetable oil.
- Base Module is designed for maximum 3% FFA without optional
pre-treatment system.
- Methanol Recovery is used to recover excess methanol
post reaction. The recovered methanol is used in the
next process.
- Ion resin, gel and/or absorption media, is used to
clean the biodiesel of residual glycerol, soaps, and catalyst.
- The modular system is designed to be self contained and have
the ability to be
transported to location
- Price for Modular System: $350,000 USD
- Call or email for more information and a proposal for the
system
